American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of high acuity L&D experience and AZ or compact RN license.

• Labor and Delivery unit within a Level III facility supporting Antepartum, LDRP, and Mother/Baby care
• Patient ratio of 1-2 couplets
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month required (Saturday/Sunday only)
• Occasional floating to Postpartum within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting preferred but other EMR experience accepted

• Active AZ or compact RN license required in hand to apply
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced, C-EFM, and RNC-OB certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of high acuity L&D experience required, or 2 years if in a teaching or high-risk facility
• Trauma Level I facility experience required, unless candidate meets all required skills
• First-time travelers considered only with 5+ years of experience
• Required skills include sterile vaginal exams, NST, EFM and IUPC use, amnioinfusion, high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, forceps/vacuum extraction, hemorrhage/shock management, and newborn assessment and care
• Experience with blood product administration, venous blood draws, peripheral IV starts, and infusion pump use required
• Experience with epidural/general anesthesia pain management and postpartum care for vaginal delivery, C-section, couplet care, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension required

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care including high-risk antepartum support
• Facility delivers over 300 births per month
• Preferred experience includes amniocentesis assistance, obstetrical triage, spiral electrode placement, circumcision care, car seat education, and neonatal abstinence syndrome care
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Holiday RTO requests reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
