Lab Tech

Role Description

Job Title: Lab Tech 1

Schedule: Tues - Fri 9:00pm - 5:30am;
Sat 7:00pm - 3:30am

• Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or histology samples using high-throughput automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to SOPs.
• Perform analyzer maintenance including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Accession samples and manage specimen tracking and storage, including packaging and unpackaging of samples for shipments to other laboratories.
• Follow QC standards and EHS practices consistent with laboratory standards.
• Troubleshoot sample integrity issues and respond to customer concerns through Salesforce tickets with the customer service department.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Properly handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Accurately fill out laboratory logs, including maintenance, environmental, and cleaning logs.
• Manage email correspondence professionally and promptly.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude.

• Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required. BS/BA is preferred.
• Experience Requirement: 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
