Safety Representative – Applied Materials at TSMC Phoenix, AZ

$33 to $38 per hour | Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 100% On‑Site

We are seeking a Safety Representative to support Applied Materials’ operations at TSMC in Phoenix, Arizona. The role is highly visible and requires being the safety advocate and trusted partner for engineers working in a world‑class semiconductor manufacturing facility.

• Stable Monday‑Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Maintain a strong field presence, spending a minimum of four hours per day in the fab environment.
• Participate in daily pass‑down meetings to understand scheduled work activities and reinforce critical safety messaging.
• Audit work activities for compliance with OSHA, TSMC, and Applied Materials safety standards.
• Conduct inspections of work areas, employees, and storage locations for 6S compliance.
• Identify hazards and assist with immediate corrective actions.
• Provide real‑time safety guidance to engineers and subcontractors.
• Support safe work planning and execution through direct employee engagement.
• Verify permits, PPE, and required controls before work begins.
• Review and sign off on daily inspection forms.
• Stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified.
• Document inspection and audit findings in the Applied Materials safety platform.
• Escalate unresolved safety concerns to Safety Engineers and Safety Managers.

Cleanroom Environment – This role supports engineers working within a semiconductor manufacturing facility and requires regular presence in the cleanroom.

• Wearing cleanroom garments and PPE.
• Spending significant time walking and standing throughout the day.
• Working in a highly controlled manufacturing environment.
• Spending up to six or more hours per day in the fab as operational needs require.

• Minimum 5 years of industrial, construction, or manufacturing experience.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Certification (Construction or General Industry).
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

• 5+ years of safety experience.
• Semiconductor or manufacturing safety experience.
• EHS Certification (CHST, OHST, ASP, GSP, or similar).
• Science‑related degree.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 511 Certification.

• Pay Rate: $33 – $38 per hour
• Location: Suite 128, 25800 N Norterra Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85085
• Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Work Type: 100% On‑Site
