We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Quality Supervisor to oversee and manage the quality team on the production floor of the plant. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all production processes and outputs meet the highest quality standards while adhering to regulatory requirements and company objectives. This position requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of Quality Coordinators and Specialists.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the quality team.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and address concerns.
- Oversee quality control checks and inspections on the production floor to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Monitor production processes and workflows to identify and address quality issues proactively.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality discrepancies.
- Impement strategies with market price trends to minimize risks of obsolescence and overstocking
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, certifications, and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA, environmental standards).
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality assessments, audits, and compliance reports.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external auditors during quality inspections.
- Regularly report quality metrics, issues, and progress to senior management.
- Serve as a point of contact for quality-related concerns from the production team.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align quality objectives with production goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a quality assurance/control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment (solar manufacturing experience is a plus).
- Proven experience managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with the daily workflow of the quality department
- 2+ years’ experience working in the solar energy industry, particularly with solar modules or photovoltaic systems.
- Familiarity with solar module manufacturing processes, performance testing, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of U.S. energy regulations and compliance requirements for solar technologies.
- Certifications in solar energy technologies or project management (e.g., NABCEP, PMP).
