QA Specialist / Manager, Quality Engineering
Evergreen Innovation Group (EIG) Modular Division, a part of the DPR family of companies, seeks a Quality Control Supervisor at its headquarters in Surprise, AZ. The role focuses on visual inspection of products and coordination of quality processes, reporting, and documentation.
Responsibilities- Work with operations, project teams, and the quality manager to identify and improve quality issues.
- Supervise the quality team, identify issues, and monitor production lines.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on modular systems, components, and equipment to verify functionality and adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Work professionally with other leads, production personnel, finishing crews, and others to report, address, and document quality issues and concerns.
- Coordinate with third‑party inspectors, auditors, and city/county representatives (e.g., UL, Nucor, NETA partners, AHJs).
- Document and track all quality inspections using electronic reporting apps, paper documents, and other EIG‑assigned methods.
- Read and understand production/finish details, shop drawings, and spool sheets.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), building codes, project‑specific technical specifications, and approved submittals.
- Create and implement proper quality checks utilizing tools and manage calibration of tools in the production area.
- Attend training that assists job functions.
- Manage and maintain document creation, flow, distribution, and uploading.
- Assist in preparing for all audits of the shop and the QC manual.
- Aid in training new and existing employees.
- Meet quality inspection requirements to assist in production flow.
- Create a positive, respectful, and productive team atmosphere.
- Maintain and provide a clean and organized work environment; dress appropriately and comply with safety requirements.
- Crosstrain and assist Quality Control Inspectors in various areas, including the Finish Shop.
- Actively promote a safe working environment throughout the factory.
- Use measuring tools (tape, micrometers, calipers, multimeter) and electronic devices (iPhone, iPad), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
- Experience coordinating with third‑party inspectors, auditors, and city/county representatives (UL, Nucor, NETA partners, AHJs).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and external stakeholders.
- Ability to read shop drawings, production details, and understand NEC.
- Proficiency with inspection tools, electronic reporting apps, and document management.
- Leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and training inspectors.
- Experience with tool calibration.
