Construction Inspector- Bridge​/Highways

Job Overview

CEI is seeking a senior inspector for structures and bridges in Phoenix West Valley. This is a full‑time position on DOT-based projects.

• Experienced in heavy civil highway projects specifically for roads and bridges.
• Senior inspection responsibilities regarding all bridge structures (FHWA‑NBI).
• AZ experience within AZDOT/MCDOT.
• Perform contract‑item inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications on all phases of highway and bridge construction projects.
• Inspect work standards: production, productivity, and quality.
• Resolve operational problems and identify work process improvements.
• Approve incoming materials by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting materials as required.
• Approve in‑process production by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production personnel.
• Approve finished products by auditing adherence to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re‑work, and reporting waste; inputting data into quality database.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

This is a full‑time position primarily in the field on a highway/bridge QA construction site.
