Your role at a glance

The Construction Manager (CM) provides proactive, field‑based oversight of safety, quality, schedule, and commissioning activities through consistent site engagement to ensure that all construction activities performed by the General Contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers on site meet or exceed project specifications, contract documents, NTT Standards, industry standards, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site visits (70‑80% of time) to perform visual inspections and spot checks, verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications and NTT L1–L3 quality standards.
  • Oversee safety, quality and schedule through proactive field engagement, including EHS process review, toolbox talks, weekly safety communication and daily work practices.
  • Provide direct oversight of the General Contractor’s quality control processes, reviewing QC plan implementation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material testing and workmanship to align with the Site‑Specific Quality Control Plan.
  • Perform and document inspections of critical construction activities such as concrete placement, reinforcement installation, structural steel erection, waterproofing, finishes and system integration; coordinate third‑party testing and Verification of First‑of‑a‑Kind/Benchmark installations.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and QA/QC Tag Inspections, delivering detailed observation reports, audit findings, lessons learned and actionable recommendations to the Project Manager.
  • Identify, document and report non‑conformances, defects or deviations, collaborating on data‑driven corrective and preventive action plans with PM, subcontractors and GC superintendents.
  • Review and recommend approval or rejection of GC‑submitted materials, shop drawings, method statements, and mock‑ups related to quality aspects; monitor quality program metrics to evaluate performance and root‑cause analysis.
  • Attend required meetings (weekly project, monthly global QA/QC, daily start‑up & commissioning, EHS) and maintain detailed logs, inspection reports, punch‑list items and non‑conformance reports for project records and close‑out.
  • Assist in reviewing project‑specific quality plans and schedules, coordinate with design teams, owners or regulatory inspectors on quality/schedule matters as delegated.
  • Coordinate on‑site procurement needs with Procurement/Sourcing groups and support the Project Manager and Senior PM.
  • Provide onsite technical Construction SME support for OFCI/CFCI equipment, reviewing commissioning scripts, Level4/5 testing and ensuring equipment integrity; monitor material storage and protection practices.
  • Support project close‑out by verifying as‑built conditions, compiling quality documentation, and assisting with punch list resolution.
  • Champion a culture of quality and safety by coaching field teams, reinforcing adherence to standards, and promoting continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Attributes

Understanding of Project Management, Planning, Construction Management and Data Centers; demonstrated leadership ability in dealing with Owners, Architects, Contractors and internal stakeholders; fundamental knowledge of P6 Critical Path scheduling systems; familiarity with all aspects of Development design and Construction (site work, core, shell, mechanical, electrical, utilities, finishes); technical knowledge of critical facilities, civil/structural, building envelopes, BMS, mechanical and electrical distribution systems;

knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulations; strong capability in Primavera, MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint; ability to manage stress and fast pace effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
