An established engineering and construction organization supporting complex industrial infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead field quality initiatives for a major construction program. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the project quality management program throughout all phases of construction.
  • Support quality processes that help ensure work is completed in accordance with established project expectations.
  • Review construction documents, engineering drawings, submittals, and technical specifications to confirm quality expectations are clearly understood.
  • Support quality verification efforts while ensuring inspection records and project documentation remain complete and up-to-date.
  • Facilitate quality assurance processes by working closely with project teams and outside resources as needed.
  • Monitor quality‑related issues and support timely resolution throughout the course of the project.
  • Ensure project files and supporting documentation are complete, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Partner closely with project managers, field supervision, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to proactively resolve quality concerns.
  • Lead quality meetings, support project audits, and promote best practices across construction teams.
  • Mentor field quality personnel while helping strengthen overall quality awareness throughout the project organization.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency without compromising safety or compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality, Architecture, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of construction quality control or construction inspection experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial or industrial construction practices and quality management principles.
  • Experience working with construction plans, technical documentation, and project requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Understanding of construction quality practices and industry compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stay organized, think critically, and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, organized documentation while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional technical certifications or professional designations are viewed favorably.
  • Experience with Lean Construction, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous quality experience supporting large semiconductor or advanced manufacturing construction projects.
  • Chinese language proficiency is considered a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on active construction sites.
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk uneven terrain, and perform field inspections throughout the workday.
  • Ability to recognize quality concerns and evaluate completed work with a high level of accuracy.
