Hot Foot Recruiters is hiring an Exhaust QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for semiconductor construction projects in North Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for monitoring exhaust system installation quality, maintaining QA/QC documentation, supporting inspections, and helping ensure project work complies with drawings, specifications, codes, and client expectations.

This position is ideal for an experienced QA/QC professional with exhaust, mechanical, piping, ductwork, or semiconductor construction experience who is comfortable supporting complex, high-standard field environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform QA/QC inspections for exhaust system installation and related construction activities.
  • Review exhaust work for compliance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
  • Inspect exhaust ductwork, piping, supports, hangers, connections, equipment installation, and related mechanical systems.
  • Verify workmanship, installation methods, material condition, labeling, alignment, and field quality requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records, quality reports, checklists, test documentation, punch lists, and turnover packages.
  • Support leak testing, pressure testing, visual inspections, system verification, and commissioning-related documentation.
  • Identify non-conforming work and support corrective action tracking and resolution.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives regarding quality requirements.
  • Support walkthroughs, field observations, audits, testing documentation, punch list follow-up, and closeout activities.
  • Confirm current drawings, revisions, specifications, and quality documentation are properly maintained and used in the field.
  • Help develop or improve QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, checklists, and documentation processes.
  • Promote strong quality and safety standards throughout project execution.
  • Perform additional QA/QC duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of mechanical construction, exhaust system, QA/QC, quality inspection, field engineering, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong background in exhaust, ductwork, piping, mechanical systems, or industrial construction required.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, data center, mission-critical, industrial, chemical, or high-tech construction projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with exhaust system installation, mechanical drawings, specifications, supports, hangers, ductwork, piping, equipment connections, and field quality requirements.
  • Experience with inspections, testing records, punch lists, non-conformance tracking, turnover documentation, or commissioning support.
  • Semiconductor site or TSMC project experience is preferred, but candidates with strong comparable exhaust/mechanical QA/QC experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, isometrics, specifications, and project documentation.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong documentation, organization, communication, and field coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to identify quality issues early.
  • Must be comfortable working full-time on-site in an active construction environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with semiconductor exhaust systems, fab exhaust, process exhaust, cleanroom mechanical systems, or tool installation support.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors, client inspectors, project managers, and field teams.
  • Experience supporting pressure/leak testing, visual inspection, system turnover, or commissioning documentation.
  • Mandarin-English bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.
