Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Blue 1: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM | Blue 2: 8:00 PM–8:00 AM | Gold 1: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM | Gold 2: 8:00 PM–8:00 AM). Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.

Position Summary

The Inspector I, Quality (ESS Systems) is responsible for performing inspections and quality verification activities throughout the assembly and production of Energy Storage System (ESS) products. This role ensures products meet quality standards by conducting visual and dimensional inspections, documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming materials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with company procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of ESS products and components throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Verify products meet engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or quality concerns.
  • Record inspection results accurately using quality documentation and electronic systems.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Support in-process, final, and receiving inspections as assigned.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and notify appropriate personnel of quality or equipment issues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of manufacturing, production, or quality inspection experience.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
  • Experience working with quality management systems or manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience in battery, electrical, automotive, or Energy Storage System (ESS) manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Quality-focused mindset.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and technical documentation.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
