Position OverviewWe are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers and be able to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Utilize calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify, document, and report defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify products meet customer, company, and industry quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inspection area.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities as needed.
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar manufacturing quality role required.
- Experience in metal manufacturing, machining, fabrication, fasteners, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
