Quality Systems Engineer

• Drive innovation and enhance the Quality culture within the plant
• Leverage data, process expertise, and team-member insights to identify and implement effective solutions
• Educate, coach, and train team members to foster commitment to Quality
• Support routine Quality department functions and customer-related quality investigations
• Lead improvement initiatives across departments to ensure product and process quality and compliance
• Lead and support customer complaint investigations, root-cause analysis, containment activities, and corrective actions
• Identify internal product and process issues using data analysis, visual inspections, and reported concerns
• Coordinate short- and long-term resolutions with involved team members
• Collaborate on dispositioning suspect materials and provide rationale and guidance
• Work with shop-floor operators to integrate quality thinking and facilitate local problem-solving
• Lead and support manufacturing projects improving product quality, equipment efficiency, workplace environment, and daily tasks
• Organize and oversee internal product and process trials on the shop floor
• Use operator feedback and site resources to resolve issues
• Teach and coach shop-floor personnel, sharing technical knowledge and reactionary logic
• Develop deeper technical expertise in extrusion, painting, and fabrication
• Benchmark and standardize best practices with colleagues across the organization
• Uphold quality compliance and ethical standards, particularly in laboratories
• Coach and train direct reports on compliance and ethical practices

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• At least 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing quality engineering
• Experience with the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) preferred
• Experience working with a tier 1 automotive supplier preferred
• Experience using PC-DMIS CMM preferred

Demonstrates expertise in Quality Engineering within manufacturing, focusing on process improvement, compliance, and team training. Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
