As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to excellence by ensuring all machined components meet rigorous precision standards. Responsibilities- Conduct precise mechanical inspections on machined parts and incoming materials to ensure full compliance with technical specifications.
- Perform first-off inspections at manufacturing work centers to identify and resolve potential quality issues early in the production cycle.
- Generate comprehensive data for First Article Inspection (FAI) and Final Inspection Reports (FIRs) to maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Interpret complex customer drawings and process travelers to ensure all manufacturing steps align with design requirements.
- Utilize calibrated measurement tools to validate dimensional accuracy and geometric conformance.
- Maintain a high standard of visual inspection to detect surface defects and ensure overall product quality.
- Fundamental understanding of blueprint reading and shop math, including trigonometry.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to document inspection results accurately.
- Experience performing in-process and final quality checks in a manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace environment.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and communicate quality discrepancies effectively.
