Bio Tech Ventures is a US based custom synthesis laboratory and life sciences company focused on developing novel, research-only pharmacological active molecules for pre-clinical research. Our work supports scientific research into mechanisms of neuroplasticity restoration and reward pathway regulation. We are seeking a hands‑on organic chemist to lead the computational and synthetic development work under the direct supervision of the Chief Scientific Officer.
The role involves heavy use of retrosynthesis tools, quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) modeling for activity prediction, synthesis of prioritized compounds, characterization, and generation of high-quality data to support research objectives. This is a high-impact, research-intensive position focused on advancing novel platform development through computational design and hands‑on synthesis. This is a unique opportunity to combine molecular design, QSAR modeling, and advanced organic synthesis to help advance an novel research platform.

Position HighlightsScottsdale, AZ (Mayo Clinic Discovery Oasis Wet Lab)
Full-Time Contractor (3–6 months with potential full-time conversion)
$65–$75/hour (DOE)

What You'll Do- Utilize retrosynthesis software to design and optimize synthetic routes
- Perform QSAR modeling and computational compound prioritization
- Execute multi‑step organic synthesis
- Characterize compounds using NMR, MS, and HPLC
- Prepare samples for downstream in vitro research
- Collaborate directly with the Chief Scientific Officer
- Maintain high-quality research documentation and laboratory compliance
- PhD in Organic Chemistry preferred (exceptional MS candidates with 5+ years of relevant industry experience will be considered)
- Strong background in multi‑step synthesis, purification, and characterization
- Experience with computational chemistry, retrosynthesis, or QSAR is highly desirable
- Excellent laboratory documentation and problem‑solving skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
