Position: Line Cook - Fun Restaurant and Bar in North Phoenix

Note: Part-time line cook position available. This role is suitable for someone seeking a second job or additional hours. Availability should be provided, and we can accommodate different hours.

Overview

We are filling a Line Cook position in a fast-paced kitchen. Line cooks assist the executive chef with daily tasks, maintain clean stations, and uphold high hygiene standards. The successful candidate contributes to customer satisfaction and achievement of acquisition goals. A positive, respectful attitude with both BOH and FOH staff is required. The role requires speed and hard work in a busy kitchen environment.

Compensation is competitive for qualified, hardworking individuals.

Shifts are part-time with kitchen hours typically from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Shifts may start as early as 8:00 am and end as late as 2:30 am. Pay range is $16–$20 per hour, with weekly pay.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • Clean up station and manage leftovers
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, with high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
  • Proven cooking experience, including as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in completing tasks
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Familiar with industry best practices
  • Food handler's card may be required depending on local/state regulations
  • Graduate of a culinary institute or formal on‑the‑job training preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience
