The Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore is looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join their team! Minutes from Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, the Biltmore Fashion Park and just a 10‑minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor pool and seating area and complimentary evening receptions. A free made‑to‑order breakfast is served daily.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor at Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore is responsible for the supervision of restaurant, bar, banquets, and room service operations, including adherence to health regulations. In this role, you will supervise assigned staff to ensure the achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations and work with management to drive revenue, maximize profit, and ensure quality.

Typically, evening shifts, however we are looking for candidates with full availability including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of restaurant or food and beverage supervisory experience required
  • Must have the ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem‑solve with employees and guests
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED required
  • Serv Safe, TIPS beverage service certification or the ability to obtain certification is required
  • Food Handlers Card
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift
  • Ability to lift, transport, and connect a keg weighing up to 150 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance
  • Requires ability to work extended hours based on business needs, with physically demanding responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, and lifting throughout the extended shift
  • Must have bartending experience
Responsibilities
  • The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all food and beverage aspects, including adherence to health regulations
  • In this role, you will supervise assigned staff to ensure the achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations and work with management to drive revenue, maximize profit, and ensure quality
  • Supervise the food & beverage staff to ensure the department operates efficiently and business goals are achieved
  • Attend appropriate meetings and communicate effectively with all responsible staff to ensure guest and employee needs are met
  • Be present on the restaurant floor during peak business hours
  • Open and close the restaurant as needed
  • Accountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring food and beverage service standards are met and guest needs are responded to in a timely manner
  • Possess menu knowledge
  • Resolve guest complaints in a courteous and friendly manner, focusing on service recovery when applicable
  • Work side by side with staff to train and model appropriate guest service standards
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and developing associates
  • Evaluate staff performance and coach the team to ensure standards are met
  • Motivate team by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding/recognizing associates
  • Work in conjunction with the manager to deliver discipline/corrective action and make termination decisions
  • Responsible for training all associates and ensuring training records are maintained, particularly safe alcohol service training
  • Analyze quality issues, identify training needs, and ensure implementation to improve results
  • Utilize available resources and adhere to training policies
  • Ensure all company, brand, and department‑specific training requirements are met
  • Help attain revenue goals by implementing service programs
  • Responsible for building and maintaining client relationships to drive repeat business/customer referrals
  • Use expertise to develop and implement changes to food and beverage operations based on sales and guest comments
