We are seeking a talented and passionate Prep & Pastry Cook to join our culinary team with Christopher's at the Wrigley Mansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen eye for detail, particularly in cake decorating and other pastry arts. This role requires creativity, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delightful desserts that enhance our guests' dining experience.

• Supporting the Christopher's team with the production, execution, and distribution of all pastry and desserts.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal menus.
• Prepare desserts, pastries, cakes and other items according to established recipes.
• Decorate pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality and consistency.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies necessary for pastry production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
• Maintaining high quality standards.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety.

• Strong skills in cake decorating and pastry techniques are highly desirable.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is required, in fine-dining is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• Familiarity with culinary terminology and practices related to baking and dessert preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
