Lead Server

Description

Under general supervision, the Server‑Lead will oversee the day‑to‑day work of the servers including distributing and balancing the workload among team members in accordance with established workflow, assuring timely accomplishment of the assigned workload, and ensuring each team member has enough work to keep busy.

Hourly Pay: $18.00 – $20.50 DOE

Schedule: Looking for both weekend and weekday availability.

• Training newly hired servers.
• Oversight of host/hostess, bussers, and food runners.
• Knowledge of and ability to describe a menu in detail with 20 or more entrees.
• Records accurate food and beverage orders and inputs them into the POS system.
• Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Handles guest complaints in a positive and professional manner, referring to supervisor as appropriate.
• Maintains front‑of‑house and kitchen sanitation requirements.
• Communicates appropriately with supervisors and dining room staff.
• Waits on residents, taking orders, serving food, beverages, and desserts; serves up desserts and salads; cleans off dishes as residents finish eating.

• One year serving experience in a restaurant setting required, two years preferred.
• Food Handlers’ required, Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Availability that might include evenings, weekends, & holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
