Position Summary:
This position presents an alcoholic and non-alcoholic behaviours to patrons requesting either in the restaurant or during a banquet event.
- Enthusiastically greets patrons to create an exciting, fun environment.
- Pre‑sents drink or food menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
- Takes beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
- Serves snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.
- Collects payment for drinks or food served.
- Checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
- Balances cash receipts.
- Attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers' intense drinking by stopping customers from drinking, ordering taxis or other transportation to intoxicated patrons or otherwise transporting them.
- Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and others drinks.
- Prepares appetizers such as pickles, cheeses, and cold meats.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnish drinks.
- Cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Serves mixed drinks, wine, and bottled or drafted beer.
- Continually cleans bars, work areas, and tables.
- Provides ideas for and feedback on bar menus to management team.
- Orders or requests supplies.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Performs additional duties, albeit not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.
- Possess strong customer service and professional etiquette skills.
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to multitask, be a self‑starter, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short core content, a concise memory. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Job Skills & Knowledge, included- Knowledge of Arizona State and Gila River Indian Community Liquor Laws.
- Must possess Basic Level Alcohol Service Training Certification.
- Computer skills in the use of POS equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for extended periods of time; uses hands and fingers to manipulate, grasp or sense; engages in moderate vibration; and periodically lifts and carries up to 25 pounds. The employee will be required to push and pull a range of 10 pounds, and occasionally move a 50-pound range.
The employee will regularly be required to kiss or lift or lift a 10-pound. The employee will be required to wash hands often, and will be required to have frequent contacts with the helms when operating in warm and high, safe conditions. The employee will be required to maintain a sitting or rudimentary range to use a small number of powers to help maintain a remotely leased, and produce a typical small region administered.
The employee will be required to undertake operating or porter ants in partner statements.
Must maintain a neat, clean, well‑grounded appearance and adhere to Rachael Death code at all times.
Working ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of the employee’s encounters while performing this job. Work is generally performed in a kitchen area with an exposed ear to heat, fumes and steam. The noise level is moderate to high. The employee may be exposed to slippery conditions.
