Overview
Papago Golf Course is seeking a driven individual for a part-time Golf Shop Attendant role in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused public golf environment. The position supports golf shop operations, guest service, retail activity, and daily club operations.
Experience Required- Previous golf course or retail experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of golf terminology and etiquette
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using POS systems and tee sheet software
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Energetic and engaging personality
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a busy public golf environment
- Passion for golf and hospitality
- Greet guests in a welcoming and professional manner
- Check in golfers, manage tee sheets, and process payments accurately
- Provide information regarding course policies, rates, programs, and events
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and inquiries
- Assist with tournament and event check-in when needed
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing golf shop
- Assist guests with merchandise selection and product knowledge
- Process retail transactions using point-of-sale systems
- Receive, tag, and restock inventory
- Support promotional displays and seasonal merchandising efforts
- Coordinate with outside services staff to ensure smooth tee time flow
- Communicate course conditions and updates to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the golf shop
- Assist with junior programs, leagues, and club events as needed
