Position: Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2922

$15.25 to $18.00 per hour. Earn up to an additional 8% commission on transactions, which could average $5.25 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

First Cash is seeking entry‑level, part‑time Retail Sales Associates/Pawnbrokers in our nationwide pawn store locations. The associate works with the entire staff to provide excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role includes greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate handles a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and engages with all customers to establish rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
  • Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes all assigned training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be required to assist customers on the exterior of the building or in exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2%–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
