About the Role: The Commercial Account Executive will play a pivotal role in driving new customer acquisition and generating revenue growth within the commercial (SMB/mid‑market) segment. You’ll own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and territory planning to closing—while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that solve real customer challenges.
Location: Phoenix, AZ or Toronto, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $175,000 – $210,000 Base | OTE: $250,000 – $300,000 (70/30 split)
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for your assigned territory, focusing on pipeline generation and new business opportunities.
- Full Cycle Ownership: Own the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to deal close, ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout.
- Relationship Management: Research and identify target accounts while building relationships with key decision‑makers.
- Presentations: Conduct engaging virtual and in‑person presentations that clearly demonstrate the value of the company’s SaaS platform.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Sales Development, and Product) to ensure seamless execution of deals. - Market Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive differentiators.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in quota‑carrying SaaS/B2B software sales as an Account Executive.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated track record in new business / full‑cycle sales and consistently exceeding targets.
- Velocity: Experience managing fast‑moving sales cycles (typically 60–120 days).
- Communication: Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence IT and senior business leaders.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency with sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, Zoom Info, or similar platforms.
- Domain Knowledge: Background selling to IT departments or within ITSM, SaaS, or enterprise software environments is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience—practical expertise and drive are equally valued.
