Job Responsibilities
  • Direct, sell, and promote the employer's products to existing distributors and end-user customers, multi-unit operators, and targeted prospects
  • Correspond with and manage multiple field brokerage sales offices and broker sales representatives
  • Identify potential growth areas for both customers and products and develop execution plans
  • Call prospective customers to explain product benefits and persuade them to buy
  • Manage trade funds spending with both operator and distributor accounts
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a college degree in Business, Culinary Arts, or Marketing preferred
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience within the protein industry, preferably in food service fresh or further processed pork sales
  • Ability to execute sales functions in modern marketplaces, including in-person and virtually
  • Excellent listening, negotiating, presentation, and analytical skills
  • In-depth computer skills, including CRM and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of packing plant operations and pork product specifications
  • Assertive personality with ethics and integrity
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time for customer meetings
