Description
The Senior Project Sales Representative will market the company to new clients and develop turnkey solutions including estimating / proposal presentation for mechanical and plumbing retrofit projects in residential and commercial markets. Position also requires the ability to manage existing customer relationships. Experience with plumbing and industrial refrigeration is a plus.
The purpose of your role as a Senior Project Sales Representative is to:
Project Management- Develop and communicate/provide basic schedule to customer and subcontractors.
- Review, communicate and manage labor requirements with Service Manager.
- Modify work plans and communicate as needed.
- Manage and track tool and equipment rentals.
- Order Equipment and coordinate shipping schedules
- Promptly addresses customer concerns to assure resolution of problems and maintain long-term positive relationships.
- Builds rapport and productive working relationships with customers, vendors and other outside agents. Effectively represent the company’s interests and outside agents to maximize profits.
- Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
- Provides modification/repair/replacement recommendations and to document these so the customer and the operations department understand what is required. Propose cost effective solutions.
- Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Develop proposals for current or prospective customers.
- Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.
- Accurately appraise and inventory systems components, evaluate general conditions and recommend the best maintenance solution. Recognize project opportunities and pass leads to appropriate personnel.
- Plan and attend industry trade lunch and learns to acquire basic HVAC and plumbing knowledge.
- Qualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, answers questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner. Ability to understand the prospects needs both technically and financially.
- Promptly follow up on leads and referrals. Establish customer rapport and identify needs. Maintains an active backlog of quotes to assure booking goal is consistently met.
- Evaluate and distribute projects leads from dispatch and other sources to appropriate project sales team member.
- Provide assistance to project sales team on scheduling and other items needing assistance.
- Provide input to General Manager on PSR goals and performance evaluations.
- Plans and efficiently schedules appointments and manages personal time to assure maximum productivity. This includes aggressive management of quotes to close sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Technical, or related preferred.
- 5+ years knowledge of HVAC and mechanical and plumbing systems and components
- 5+ years' experience with customer relationship development/maintenance
- 1-2 years proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
