Position: Account Manager - Nephrology (Phoenix)

Account Manager – Nephrology (Phoenix)

Apellis Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Account Manager to represent the company to key accounts in Arizona. The role focuses on building trust, delivering scientific knowledge, and achieving revenue objectives in the nephrology, hematology/oncology, and rare disease markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned with national strategy to drive company revenue.
  • Maintain deep relationships with physicians, nurses, office staff, and management at key accounts.
  • Assess treatment patterns and referral networks to inform account strategy.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with medical affairs, patient services, operations, and community engagement teams.
  • Lead speaker management, marketing engagement, and other commercial initiatives.
  • Communicate field insights to home‑office teams and participate in internal workshops.
  • Operate with professional integrity and align with Apellis culture and values.
Education & Experience
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 4+ years of biotech/pharma sales and account management experience.
  • Experience in Nephrology, Hematology/Oncology, or rare disease markets preferred.
  • Transplant and hospital/IDN experience valued.
  • Product launch experience preferred.

  • Proven sales success and account planning expertise.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

  • Integrity and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
Physical Demands & Travel
  • Must fully comply with credentialing requirements for customer interactions.
  • Willing to travel domestically up to 75% of the time, including overnights.
Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range: $158,000 – $237,000 per year, with additional compensation opportunities. Apellis offers a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of medical, dental, vision, and more.
