Location: Western United States (Remote)
Compensation: $125,000–$135,000 Base + Uncapped Bonus
OTE: $140,000–$170,000+
Our client, a growing manufacturer of water and wastewater instrumentation solutions, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow their municipal and utility business across the Western United States.
This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience working with municipal water systems, utilities, public works departments, and infrastructure projects
. The successful candidate will understand long sales cycles, technical solutions, and how cities and water authorities evaluate and purchase equipment.
- Manage and grow sales throughout the Western U.S. territory
- Develop relationships with municipalities, water districts, utilities, engineers, operators, and consultants
- Identify and develop opportunities within municipal water and wastewater markets
- Work with customers through the full sales process, including specifications, proposals, bids, and purchasing processes
- Partner with manufacturers’ representatives, distributors, and channel partners to expand market reach
- Conduct customer visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and training
- Build territory strategies and manage pipeline growth
- Attend industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
- Collaborate with technical teams and leadership to support customer success
- 5+ years of sales experience in water/wastewater, municipal, utility, environmental, industrial equipment, or related industries
- Experience selling to cities, municipalities, water districts, or government entities
- Understanding of public-sector sales cycles, RFPs, and infrastructure projects
- Experience working with consultants, engineers, distributors, or manufacturers’ representatives
- Strong technical and consultative sales skills
- Ability to independently manage a large territory
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Own and grow a high-potential Western U.S. territory
