PURPOSE
Support IBT West-Magnum Industrial Distribution customers with sales, application, and pricing and proposal assistance while developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with IBT West-Magnum Industrial Distribution vendors who are essential to meet branch and customer needs, and are consistent with current marketing plans and corporate goals.
FULL-TIME POSITIONThis is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break, however hours may vary based on business needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide inside sales and customer service support for all IBT West-Magnum Industrial Distributors customers with application assistance, product sourcing, vendor assistance, and pricing and proposals.
- Support customers with product sourcing, pricing assistance, proposal presentation, billing, order entry and promotional items.
- Maintain appropriate quantities of current vendor literature.
- Coordinate and follow detailed marketing plans for target products, accounts and customers as outlined by Store/General Manager and preferred vendors.
- Assist customers by monitoring branch sales for specified product lines, keeping sales interest levels at a maximum.
- Assist in maintaining good vendor relations at the branch location level.
- Maintain open, productive communication between corporate, region managers, other branches, and department managers.
- Promote a positive attitude to co-workers, branches, vendors and customers, while promoting all of products and services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with inside sales and/or customer service preferred, but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to customer questions and information.
- Ability to calculate discounts & percentages.
- Ability to specify technical products and to provide technical sales information.
- Strong PC and software skills with the ability to use technology to improve efficiency and effectively communicate information, including, but not limited to the Epicor P-21 (preferred), Google & Microsoft Suites.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Sight, hearing, speech. Frequent lateral mobility; frequent entry and exit from vehicles; use of both hands and arms; occasionally lift weights over 50 pounds; mentally able to plan and analyze verbal input; solve problems; make decisions and take appropriate action under moderate stress.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURSThis is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break, however hours may vary based on business needs.
There may be times where there is an expectation to work extended hours as dictated by business needs. This position requires minimal travel for training or special projects.
