Overview

Cox Communications is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to create customer experiences, drive sales, and support a retail team across Cox’s technology offerings.

Solutions Specialist Mobile - CCI Management Level Individual Contributor

Hourly pay rate: $15.29 – $22.88 per hour based on location and experience. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.

Targeted total compensation: $51,072 per year ($24.55/hr). Top earners average $66,099 per year ($31.78/hr). The base hourly rate is $17.18/hr with monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. Ramp period up to 2 months.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs.
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
• Assist with opening/closing of the store retail environment.
• Properly handle cash.
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
• Support fellow sales agents when needed.
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in training classes.
• May be required to work in other locations within the same geographic area.

• Minimum: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions‑based sales.
• Ability to build relationships with a diverse customer base.
• Multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Must be mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
• Computer literacy with aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds to help manage inventory.
• Preferred: some college experience focused on sales, business, and/or management.
• One year of experience in sales, retail sales, or related service industry.
• Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.

Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
