Job Overview

US Foods invites you to join as a Territory Manager, driving relationships, sales, and business growth across the food service industry. As a key player, you will nurture existing accounts, hunt for new business, and collaborate with specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the Customer Champion
    :
    Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
  • Drive Sales Success
    :
    Measure your success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailored approaches. Effective time and territory management is critical.
  • Team Based Selling
    :
    Work collaboratively with Specialists to seize top penetration opportunities and open new accounts. Coordinate closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service for seamless product delivery.
  • Lead with Insight
    :
    Identify prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, industry organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Delivery Resolution
    :
    Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot issues such as mispicks, short loads, or stock-outs.
  • Competitive Advantage
    :
    Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, competitor pricing, and sales trends, and share this insight as part of value-added services to customers.
  • Stay on the Move
    :
    Drive your personal vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good motor vehicle record.
  • Food service industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and to cold-call for new business development.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem‑solving and organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tech‑savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
