R Specialty Gas Sales Specialist (Open)

- Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and discover new partnership paths.
- Contribute to and advance growth aspirations for specialty gas products, including pure gases, gas mixtures, and related equipment.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans to identify, qualify, and partner with new customers within target industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, deeply understanding their evolving needs to ensure long‑term satisfaction.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on features, benefits, and applications of Airgas specialty gas products.
- Collaborate with internal teams—operations, customer service, and technical support—to ensure seamless order fulfillment and aligned solutions.
- Prepare and share accurate forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to keep management informed.
- Monitor market trends, dynamics, and customer feedback to uncover opportunities for product development or service enhancements.
- Facilitate agreement on pricing and contract terms with customers, adhering to company guidelines and profitability objectives.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote Airgas specialty gas offerings and expand professional contacts.
- Provide professional, caring support for customer inquiries and concerns.
- Protect confidentiality of sensitive information with utmost integrity.
- Present a professional image reflective of Airgas core values.
- Identify and align key customer stakeholders at all levels within targeted accounts to advance sustainable growth and secure new business accounts.
- Maintain clear communication lines with internal departments regarding new customer developments and opportunities.
- Utilize collective resources to realize growth and development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related scientific/technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in product, laboratory, or sales environments (or equivalent combination of education and life experience).
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage dynamic priorities effectively.
- Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control.
- Attention to detail in handling transactions.
- Availability for occasional overtime when needed.
- Ability to operate in a drug‑free workplace.
- Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies.
- Experience with SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications.
- Proficiency in SAP and PROS functionalities.
- Clear and warm communication with diverse audiences.
- Target base salary range: $70k – $80k plus commission.
- Monthly auto allowance.
