Senior Oncology SpecialistWhat you will do
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products to medical professionals and serve as the primary customer contact.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, deliver branded sales messages, execute programs, schedule and follow‑up with medical educational programs, and achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Use internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain enthusiasm for the products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and consistently focusing on patient service.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist.
- Leverage disease‑state awareness and industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- Preferred experience in Oncology.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
