Pollard Banknote is seeking professionals with strong sales and relationship building skills for our Sales Program Specialist position. This position will work with retailers to manage and grow the retail lottery accounts of our client, The Arizona State Lottery.

The Sales Program Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional service to Arizona Lottery's retail partners, including improving sales.

What You'll Do
  • Routinely analyze retailer sales information identifying opportunities to maximize sales within assigned retailers.
  • Develop and implement approved strategies/programs to improve sales within designated retailers.
  • Accurately capture and maintain comprehensive retailer data in Customer Relationship Management software based on retailer visits.
  • Conduct comprehensive retailer training on a variety of topics relating to the sale of lottery tickets.
  • Conduct training on all lottery products, policies, and procedures at retail locations.
  • Routinely develop and implement retailer and Lottery promotions to increase the awareness of lottery products, increase retailer sales, and improve retail relationships.
  • Prepare sales analysis to determine effectiveness of promotions.
  • Develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with internal and external customers and vendor partners.
  • Actively lead and participate in problem‑solving to reduce waste and improve organizational efficiencies.
  • Actively engage in deploying and sustaining Arizona Management System within the Lottery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing or related disciplines. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in sales or retail management, including effective sales and marketing practices and principles.
  • Experience developing and initiating promotional sales plans and programs and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Experience in analyzing sales and market trends, making recommendations and developing improvements to increase sales.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in investigating and promptly resolving routine retailer issues and problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management level, other employees, vendors and the public.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and knowledge of basic accounting procedures and applications as they relate to Lottery ticket sales at the retail level.
  • Ability to provide training to retailers regarding lottery products, changes and/or enhancements in Lottery games and promotions.
  • Advanced negotiation techniques while maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Knowledge of State laws, regulations and rules relevant to the Arizona Lottery is an asset.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Bilingualism in Spanish/English is an asset.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective in time management.
  • Ability to objectively review information pertinent to position.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to apply strong attention to detail and produce work with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and self‑direct work, and in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Aptitude to learn new computer software.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, maintain schedules and follow up to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
