Summary

The Member Experience Associate (MEA) is primarily responsible for delivering outstanding service and value to our members through genuine care, personal service, and meeting their needs and expectations across multiple branch locations. In addition to delivering service, MEAs are directly accountable for achieving individual sales targets. They must have a strong customer‑service orientation, adaptability, and active listening skills to identify unmet Member needs in varied environments.

Functions
  • Perform fundamental customer interactions, including Member Services and product sales, across seven core skills.
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals using consultative sales techniques to uncover needs, present solutions, and close opportunities.
  • Promote AAA products and services to Members, reinforcing the value of Membership in every branch environment.
  • Tailor solutions to each branch environment and adapt communication style for maximum effectiveness.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Customer Service: Professional, friendly attitude with problem‑solving resolution; ability to adapt communication style to achieve high effectiveness and increase membership value.
  • Sales: Demonstrated strong sales skills and proven ability to meet or exceed goals; active listener who can uncover needs and maintain consistency across locations.
  • Technical: Proficient with multiple computer systems and applications; quick adaptation to varying system configurations across branches.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure process implementation, compliance with standard operating procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED; 2–4 years of work experience including at least 1 year in a sales role; backgrounds in insurance, retail, hospitality, or call centers highly valued.
  • Current and valid Driver’s License required; bonding/fingerprinting and P&C licensing may be required depending on branch needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in sales with defined standards and goals.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Outbound sales experience.
Working Environment / Minimum

Physical Requirements

Work occurs primarily in branch office environments where standing, walking, or sitting at a desk or computer workstation is required for extended periods. Shift flexibility and availability to travel between locations, including Saturdays, is required. Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds. Approximately 98% of time is spent using a video display terminal and 50–80% of time is spent on a personal computer.
