Job DescriptionAt Ritchie Bros., we don’t just offer jobs—we build sales careers. We’re seeking motivated future sales leaders to join our Trainee Territory Manager program and learn the business from the ground up.
The Trainee Territory Sales Manager will be placed into an intensive six‑month hands‑on training program where they will work with and learn from one of our sales teams. This program is designed to educate the trainee on our business, our customers and the skills and processes required to become a successful Territory Sales Manager.
Our trainee will have the opportunity to put their training to practice while still supported by a sales coach and team.
Upon completion of the structured training program, the trainee will be qualified to become a Territory Sales Manager within a multi‑million‑dollar territory.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals beginning their sales career, including recent college graduates, who are eager to develop consultative selling skills, build customer relationships and grow into a successful Territory Manager role through hands‑on training and mentorship.

Deal Management, Auction Operations & Customer Service - Learn Equipment & Sector Knowledge:
Heavy Equipment Knowledge, Maximizing Equipment Values, Market Knowledge - Perform other duties as assigned
- 1 to 5 years in a structured sales role, and a consistent track record of meeting & exceeding quotas
- Strong learning ability, coupled with a desire to learn more about everything around you
- A strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or ability to have fun on the job
- The ability to travel 1 to 2 days per week to cover the territory, as well as up to a week a few times per year to attend auctions and training
- Maintain a valid, clean driver’s license
- Experience with heavy equipment is helpful
- Strong communication skills, especially when it comes to listening
- A head for numbers and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast‑paced setting
- A natural ability to build authentic customer relationships
- Typical business and field office environment
