Combustion Sales Engineer

Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Fives Group, headquartered in Cleveland & Paris. We design, manufacture, install, and service combustion systems for industries such as metalworking, energy, and manufacturing.

Location:

Phoenix, AZ (United States). Permanent position, On-site.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Fives Code of Conduct, Safety Standards and national safety standards.
  • Grow system sales with customers, focusing on high‑margin hardware, assemblies, and controls.
  • Sell the value of our combustion systems, products, and services, maximizing margin.
  • Manage every aspect of relationships and dealings with customers in their territory.
  • Overall responsibility for design and sale of thermal hardware solutions, process furnace revamps, and aftermarket sales across various industries.
  • Analyze and recommend ways to optimize customers’ thermal processes (efficiency, temperature uniformity, emissions, staffing), acting as trusted advisor.
  • Exhibit excellence in the Complex Sales Process, applying the principles of the Prime Process.
  • Speak, probe, and sell in terms of Profit Improvement, ROI, Payback, and Cost of the Problem.
  • Address customer issues across all levels.
  • Report to Marketing on field changes or trends affecting products and services.
  • Provide technical service and/or training for client employees when required.
  • Maintain expertise in thermal process applications across markets.
  • Follow the Complex Sales Process to expand cast of characters, identify drivers, cost of problem, risks and competitive solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy and utilization of Enterprise Business Model (EBM).
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales.
  • Experience in industrial thermal processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in following sales processes is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
