You will act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving sales targets.
- Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
- Analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop plans with the District Manager.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while representing the brand.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.
- Experience in Oncology.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology and related specialties.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Adaptability with planning, leveraging knowledge, communication, driving results, and cultivating relationships.
The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $140,465 to $190,041. In addition to base salary, Amgen offers a total rewards plan that includes:
