Overview

How would you like to be responsible for creating those experiences with the potential of earning $51,072 per year? Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences; someone who connects easily with others and can drive sales while making customers feel special.
This role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays and reporting to your Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or other team specialists.
- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities as well as offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs.
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with the opening and closing of one of our store retail environments.
- Properly handle cash.
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products as well as competitor product offerings by participating in regular training classes.
- May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area.
- Variable targeted total compensation of $51,072 ($24.55/hr.) with high earners (top 10%) reaching an average annual compensation of just over $66,099 ($31.78/hr.). Compensation includes a full-time hourly base rate of $17.18/hr. plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. Employees also receive a ramp period of up to 2 months to adjust to commission earnings.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions-based selling and influencing customer decisions.
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a service‑oriented, fast‑paced team environment.
- Ability to move within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products and services.
- Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds for stock room inventory management.
- Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, and/or management.
- One year of experience in a related field (e.g., sales, retail sales, service industry).
- Experience selling wireless/mobile products.
- Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken.
- Hourly pay rate of $15.29–$22.88 per hour, varying by location and candidate experience. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer work, military service, and parental leave.
