Overview
Senior Oncology Specialist – Territory covers Central AZ including Phoenix/Scottsdale metropolitan area. In this role you will act as the primary customer contact, providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products and effectively communicating their clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
Responsibilities- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including branded sales messages and scheduled medical educational programs.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets by utilizing oncology background and experience.
- Use internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis.
- Maintain a passion for products throughout the sales cycle and continuously build the brand.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and stay curious and learning.
- Leverage knowledge of oncology disease states, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or scientific field; or
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience; or
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in oncology or related therapeutic areas.
- Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
Expected annual salary range: $140,465 to $190,041 (excluding Puerto Rico).
