Job Description & How to Apply Below

Commonwealth Insurance is seeking an experienced Property Territory Manager to help grow our homeowners and manufactured home business throughout Arizona.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the Arizona independent agency market, has experience building relationships with independent insurance agencies, and enjoys helping agents grow their property business. Existing agency relationships are a plus, but just as important is the ability to develop new partnerships built on trust, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.

With the continued growth of our property portfolio, including the recent launch of our Homeowners Select product, this position will play a key role in expanding Commonwealth's property footprint across the state. While the primary focus is homeowners and manufactured home insurance, you'll also support renters opportunities that complement those property relationships.

Success in this role isn't measured by how many miles you drive—it's measured by the relationships you build, the trust you earn, and the growth you create.

Who We Are

At Commonwealth Insurance, we partner with independent insurance agencies to deliver responsive service, affordable personal lines products, and the kind of support that helps agencies grow.

We've built our reputation by being accessible, dependable, easy to do business with, and a true partner to our agents. We don't try to be everything to everyone—we focus on doing what we do best and supporting our agency partners every step of the way.

What You'll Do

  • Build and strengthen relationships with independent insurance agencies throughout Arizona.
  • Grow Commonwealth's homeowners, Homeowners Select, and manufactured home business while identifying renters opportunities that complement property relationships.
  • Increase production with existing agency partners while identifying and appointing new agencies that align with Commonwealth's property strategy.
  • Become a trusted resource by helping agents understand our products, underwriting appetite, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct agency visits, product training, and sales presentations.
  • Partner with Underwriting, Licensing, Claims, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver an exceptional experience for our agency partners.
  • Use Zoho CRM to document agency activity, manage follow-up, and maintain an organized territory plan.
  • Analyze production trends and agency performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Stay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends.
  • Represent Commonwealth at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Take ownership of your statewide territory by planning strategically, following through on commitments, and consistently executing.
  • Travel extensively throughout Arizona, including regular overnight travel.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in insurance sales, territory management, agency development, or business development, preferably within the independent agency channel.
  • Experience marketing homeowners, manufactured home, or other personal lines property products is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Arizona independent insurance agency market.
  • Existing relationships with Arizona independent insurance agencies are highly desirable.
  • A proven ability to build lasting business relationships and grow profitable business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently manage a statewide territory.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, results-driven, and accountable.
  • Ability to travel throughout Arizona, including overnight travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Property & Casualty insurance license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus monthly performance incentives.
  • Company vehicle.
  • Company cell phone.
  • Laptop and tablet.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k).
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • The opportunity to help shape and grow an expanding property portfolio with a company that values long-term agency partnerships.

Why Commonwealth?

At Commonwealth, relationships come first. We believe the best results come from being responsive, dependable, and easy to do business with. We're looking for someone who shares that mindset—someone who enjoys helping independent agents succeed, building lasting partnerships, and making a measurable impact across Arizona.

If you're ready to help grow Commonwealth's property business and be part of a team that's committed to supporting its agency partners, we'd love to hear from you.
