Clinical Territory Manager

The Clinical Territory Manager serves as a key member of the field sales team, fully responsible for driving direct-to-consumer sales performance and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets. Within an assigned multi-state territory, this role partners closely with Inside Sales, Patient Financial Services, Area Sales Managers, Marketing, and Commercial Support to maximize revenue, increase technology adoption, and develop successful clinical programs.

The Clinical Territory Manager manages the complete product acquisition process, nurtures referrals, provides clinical education, and implements business practices and sales tactics that support long-term growth in neurological and orthopedic care settings.

  • Assume full performance responsibility for servicing the direct-to-consumer sales channel and consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Establish, track, and execute quarterly and annual key performance metrics for the assigned territory, and review results with management to set execution goals.
  • Manage the entire direct-to-consumer sales process, including lead engagement and nurturing, referral development, and delivery of clinical education to prospective and existing customers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive annual business plans for the assigned geography to drive revenue growth and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Patient Financial Services, Area Sales Managers, Marketing, and Commercial Support to maximize territory performance and optimize sales tactics.
  • Work with Area Sales Managers to develop and implement successful clinical programs at facilities within the territory.
  • Conduct in-services and meetings by delivering company-developed presentations to groups of physicians, clinicians, and community support organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, therapists, and key decision makers treating neurological and orthopedic patients.
  • Attend customer-facing and internal national and regional trade shows as requested to represent the organization and support commercial initiatives.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable for conducting business in a manner that is compliant with the organization's Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies, procedures, and internal controls applicable to the role.
  • Adapt to a fast-changing environment, effectively problem solve, and adjust tactics to meet evolving business and clinical needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of territory and organizational goals.

Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales, sales support, or marketing with a demonstrated history of success. Experience calling on and/or working directly with physicians treating neurological and/or orthopedic patients. Current physical therapy or occupational therapy license (PT or OT license). Proven ability to manage a direct-to-consumer sales process, including lead engagement, referral development, and clinical education.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups of physicians, clinicians, and community support organizations. Demonstrated results-focused and self-motivated work style, with a strong drive to win and achieve targets. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective, lasting relationships among key decision makers and therapists. Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and adapt in a fast-changing environment.

Customer service mindset and ability to support patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders. Ability to travel frequently within the territory and manage time effectively while on the road.

  • Graduate degree in Business, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy is preferred.
  • Experience in physical therapy or occupational therapy services and familiarity with clinical workflows.
  • Experience in account management and business development within healthcare or medical technology settings.
  • Comfort delivering company-developed presentations and conducting educational in-services.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Inside Sales, Financial Services, Marketing, and Commercial Support.
  • Strong organizational skills for developing annual business plans and tracking key performance metrics.
  • Self-starter attitude with a go-getter mentality and eagerness to achieve and exceed goals.

This is a field-based role covering Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso, with a requirement to live in the Phoenix area. The Clinical Territory Manager spends most workdays on the road within Arizona, meeting with physicians, clinicians, therapists, and community groups at clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Travel to New Mexico and El Paso is expected approximately once per month, resulting in about 4–5 nights away from home each month.
