* American Express is seeking a high-performing
** Business Development Representative*
* to join our Middle Market team. In this role, you will drive growth for identifying, qualifying, and converting prospective clients into high-quality sales opportunities.
This is a performance-driven role focused on pipeline creation, outbound prospecting, and strategic engagement with decision-makers across mid-sized businesses. The ideal candidate is competitive,

** Responsibilities*
* + Proactively identify and engage mid-market prospects through outbound channels (cold calls, email, social selling)
+ Qualify leads to assess fit, need, and buying readiness
+ Schedule high-quality meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives
+ Orchestrate discussions around business needs with senior leaders for prospective customers
+ Strategize and work with top-producing Account Executives
+ Build and manage a consistent pipeline of opportunities aligned to revenue targets
+ Leverage CRM tools to maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline data
+ Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to refine messaging and targeting strategies
+ Consistently meet or exceed key performance metrics including meetings booked, pipeline generated, and conversion rates
** Qualifications*
* + 1-3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (B2B preferred)
+ Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a metrics-driven environment
+ Strong interpersonal, communication and objection-handling skills, particularly via phone and virtual meetings
+ Demonstrated success in pipeline creation and opportunity generation
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple prospects and priorities
+ Competitive mindset with a drive to outperform peers and achieve top rankings
+
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
