The Pharmacy Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison for an assigned pharmacy-only book of business, their brokers, benefit consultants and TPAs. Responsible for developing strong external and internal relationships to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, membership, and earnings objectives for existing customer in assigned business. Serve as pharmacy SME in support of AMPS client service staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines to ensure the confidentiality of all members and clients.
- Acts as AMPS/Drexi account manager for assigned pharmacy-only book of business.
- Develops a mutually rewarding working relationship with various client contacts to ensure client retention.
- Follows through on outstanding issues through resolution
- Offers creative product and service solutions to address client’s evolving needs.
- Monitors client’s dashboards to ensure client’s needs are being met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, implement, and monitor the customer’s service efficiencies, including performance guarantees
- Collaborate with team members with implementation of clients and new services
- Conducts Open Enrollment meetings, attends Health Fairs and client meetings.
- Maintain external and internal information within internal systems.
- Closely coordinate with Marketing, Product and Sales areas on applicable initiatives as directed by Client Services leadership.
- Other training and project initiatives as directed and assigned by Client Services leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of the PBM industry required.
- Healthcare and TPA experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, flexible, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 - 7+ years pharmacy service or sales experience
- Indoor office environment with moderate noise
- Travel required for on-site client visits approximately 50% of the time.
- Intermittent physical effort may include lifting up to 25 lbs., walking, stopping, kneeling, crouching or crawling may be required
- Frequent sitting, use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing approximately 70% of the time; 30% or less time is spent standing
- Normal vision abilities required including close vision and ability to adjust focus
