Overview
As Armed Security, you are Ojos Locos’ first line of defense. In addition to securing the facility, you must check IDs to ensure only proper age entrants, refuse entry to anyone showing signs of intoxication, and manage guests demonstrating aggressive or disruptive behavior that could breach the law or Ojos Locos rules. Pat downs and check restroom and outdoor exit areas for unauthorized smoking or vaping.

- Screen patrons (weapons/illegal substances)
- Report incidents identifying who, what, why, when and how; email reports at the end of the shift
- Report any use of force immediately to the Director of Security and via email by shift end
- Monitor premises through walk‑throughs, make presence known, check all concealment areas
- Monitor the parking lot from the main entrance or immediate area
- Ensure guests do not smoke/vape in non‑designated areas
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Monitor coworker activity for safety and assistance when needed
- Execute Security’s key items to protect Ojos Locos Agreement
- Maintain one of three security positions: , patron screening, or premises monitoring
The expected work hours are typically between 7 pm and 3 am Thursday through Saturday and 7 pm and 1 am Sunday through Wednesday. You are responsible for clocking in and out during each shift; failure to do so may be grounds for discipline, up to and including termination.
Requirements- Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in the field of security
- CPR/first aid certified
- Continuing education/training in the field of security completed annually
Starting pay is $24.00 or more based on Armed Security experience.
