Job Overview

Security officer required for a construction site in downtown Phoenix. Part‑time position every Sunday night from 6:00 pm to 5:30 am (11⅓‑hour shift). Must have an active AZ guard card and experience with construction site security.

• Use Silver Trac to log DARs – 2 entries per hour.
• Patrol fenced areas, check all gates and fence lines.
• Work outside during the shift, watch for fires or other emergencies.
• Perform firewatch every 3–4 hours, patrol twice an hour on property.
• Report pipe leaks and other issues as needed.
• Keep vagrants, homeless people and unauthorized persons off site and away from construction areas.
• Walk stairs on up to 17‑floor building (no elevator). Must walk some stairs each shift.
• Watch for theft, vandalism and unauthorized people.
• Use Silver Trac for hourly and incident reports; patrol and check two areas per hour.
• Work mostly alone or the shift without supervision.
• Call 911, police, fire or ambulance as needed.
• Answer the site phone when calls come in overnight.
• Be detailed, aware and alert at all times.

• Active AZ guard card.
• Experience with construction site security.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA standards for construction sites.
• Physical fitness, able to walk stair flights repeatedly.
• Ability to work alone and handle high‑stress situations and difficult people with respect and care.
• Willingness to work nights, Sundays only.
• Must wear hard‑hat, safety vest and PPE at all times (supplied).
