** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector contacts as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site protocols and government location requirements.

+ Support emergency and incident response by following post orders, preparing clear reports, and coordinating with law enforcement and/or first responders when appropriate.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

+ Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

+ An armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
