Armed Security Guard

Description

Shields Point LLC offers a full‑time Armed Guard position supporting the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Phoenix, Arizona. The role requires maintaining safety and security protocols, safeguarding personnel, property and assets, and working 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts on days, nights, and weekends.

• Provide access control.
• Perform foot patrols.
• Monitor and assess alarms.
• Write reports.
• Protect government personnel and property.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Communicate professionally with customers, employees, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as directed.

• U.S. Citizen.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass medical exam, drug screen and federal background investigation when required.
• Must have two or any reasonable combination of:
  • Three years experience in security, military or law enforcement.
  • Associate degree or 24 college credits.
  • Active, retired or honorably discharged U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserve.
  • Graduation from law enforcement basic academy.
• Successfully complete required training including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid and expandable baton.
• Fluently speak, read and comprehend English.
• Good communication skills to clearly articulate complex concepts.
• State Guard License required.
• State Driver License required.

Pay rate: $20.05 per hour
