As a Armed Security Officer – Retail Bank in Phoenix, AZ
, you will serve and safeguard clients across various industries such as financial institutions. Our armed officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents. This armed, driving post requires professionalism, strong communication, and a customer‑focused approach while supporting daily operations. What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the interior, exterior, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring access points, verifying credentials when required, and maintaining a visible presence in assigned areas.
  • Support cash‑handling and other sensitive operations, when applicable, by remaining alert to changes in the environment and communicating promptly with site contacts and/or local law enforcement as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
