Job SummaryTSMC Arizona is looking for a Security Industry Specialist to join our 5‑nanometer Fab in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Security Control Center Operator, you will demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm, and embody our core values of integrity, commitment, innovation, and customer trust.
This position requires the candidate to be physically active for the duration of their shift, sitting, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, and working both inside and outside environments. The Security Industry Specialist manages and directs shift operations with TSMC security personnel and contracted security personnel.
TSMC Security Industry Specialists are responsible for providing security for the entire 1,200‑acre campus and are tasked with a broad scope of responsibilities, adapting to ever‑changing priorities and needs in an active and long‑term construction project.
Responsibilities- Operate the access control system (CCTV, badging, etc.).
- Monitor and record functional status of equipment and site activities via surveillance.
- Conduct visual inspections of designated routes for critical areas.
- Respond to intrusion alarms and communicate activation and location to the team.
- Remotely control gates, doors, and other access points.
- Vigilant for safety and security threats.
- Communicate via radio during security incidents.
- Perform search, patrol, and inspections per site security policy.
- Participate in internal investigations.
- Implement emergency or security action plans.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Control and issue keys and equipment following protocols.
- Maintain inventory of security equipment and logbooks.
- Work with contract security personnel.
- Inspect the security perimeter to ensure a safe environment.
- Audit security equipment for proper operation.
- Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations.
- Maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Other duties as defined by the Security Manager.
- Industrial security experience.
- Experience with detailed report writing.
- Military or law enforcement background, or extensive security background.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience in security policy and procedure development, drafting, and implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to professionally handle various personality types.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Can work independently with minimal direction.
- Flexible in work duties and able to adjust accordingly.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and organizational abilities.
- One Team mindset.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred, no specific major required).
- Experience in SOC or Industrial Security.
