Required Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years of recent and verifiable experience working with heating, air conditioning and ventilation. This position also requires the successful candidate to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License. Candidate must have own transportation to report to other college locations as assigned. Candidate must be able to be forklift certified within one year of employment.

Working Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• Maintains and repairs HVAC and refrigeration equipment with supervision. Maintains and repairs hydronic systems and electrical controls and equipment to include replacing belts and filters. Works on high and low voltage.
• Maintains, repairs and operates energy management system. Operates and maintains digital controls and pneumatic controls.
• Coordinates work with other departments and sub-contractors.

• Requires medium to heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, pushing or raising objects, exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis.
• Must be able to work various shifts and locations as assigned based on the needs of the College.
• Must have strong organizational skills, as well as effective oral and written communication.
• Must have computer knowledge to be able to perform job related tasks, clock in/out, and view personnel related information (i.e., paycheck, W-2, etc.).
