Job Description
Join our team in constructing shaded structures for commercial buildings. This role involves overseeing the installation of structural components and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Pay Rate$20 - $24 per hour.
Responsibilities- Construct shaded structures for commercial buildings.
- Excavate materials and prepare site.
- Set and secure columns.
- Pour concrete into 36" round and 10-foot deep footings.
- Place steel structures and custom components over a period of 2-3 weeks.
- Install ladders and use leveling tools.
- Perform occasional electrical work if shades include lighting.
- Lead and manage a team of one or two laborers.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in carpentry and concrete/steel work.
- Leadership experience in managing laborers.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to track invoices/receipts and complete expense reports.
- Familiarity with using smartphones and basic computer skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in outdoor construction for laborer positions.
- Experience in using structural steel, carpentry, and concrete.
- Strong communication skills and ability to use email for professional communication.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
